  • Mar. 30 - Leaderhip course price change: Rock Solid Leadership. This course cost is now $1200 for the week-long course, including campground accommodation. Edmonton Section Leaders can apply for a partial discount of the course fee.

  • Mar. 30 - Leaderhip course date change: ACC Emergency Mountaineering First Aid (EMFA). Course is now held on September 25 and 26, 2010.

  • Feb. 09 - Leaderhip course announced: Rock Solid Leadership, July 10-16, 2010 in Jasper
    This seven day course during which a number of hard and soft skills sessions related to leading club trips to rock climbing venues are presented. It is not a course about leading hard rock climbs, but rather a course to introduce you to leading others on rock climbs of almost any grade.
    We are excited to offer this excellent leadership development rock course for the second year running. Last year's participants give it very high marks with enthusiastic reviews. As we are opening applications to other ACC sections, get your name in early to secure a spot by emailing leadership@alpineclub-edm.org.

  • Feb. 09 - Leaderhip course date and venue change: ACC Mountain Navigation Course
    Course is now held on May 8 & 9, 2010, in Canmore/Banff region.

  • Feb. 01 - Leadership Course schedules announced.
    Leadership courses provide our amateur trip leaders with the opportunity to enhance their hard and soft skills related to planning and managing outdoor trips. Subsidies are available for many courses.
    Please see our Leadership Courses for more details about courses that may appeal to you.

  • Jan. 19 - The Calgary Section has 3 spots left on its February 20-27 Sunrise Lodge Ski Camp. The camp is open to all ACC members.
