The Edmonton Section of the Alpine Club of Canada offers an amazing array of activities
through out the year including our Summer Trip Schedule, Winter Trip Schedule, Development
Courses, Wall Climbing Nights, Annual Photo Contest and much more. Regardless of
your interests or level of expertise, we have an activity for you.
We conduct a full schedule of trips to the mountains and organize at least one week-long
climbing camp (usually based at an Alpine Club mountain hut) each summer. Our summer
activities include alpine climbing, rock climbing, scrambling and hiking.
Skills development is an integral part of the offerings of the Alpine Club of Canada.
Whether it's a refresher for the expert or an introductory course for the beginner,
taking a course with ACC Edmonton Section can help make your alpine experience safer
and more enjoyable. Our skills development activities and courses include Winter
in the Mountains, Summer in the Mountain, Winter on Ice and many more.
Every November, the Edmonton Section of the Alpine Club organizes a photo contest
for members. The entries must be from an Alpine region and must have been taken on
trips within the prior two years. The slide and photo entries are shown and the results
announced at our annual Wine and Cheese party at the end of November.
